Diving In High Risk Environments
By: Steven Barsky. 3rd Edition.
This is an important book for the professional diving in unusual commercial circumstances. Chapters cover diving in contaminated waters, be it due to explosives, natural bacterias, chemicals, poisons or even nuclear wastes. It thus concerns itself with totaly body-enclosed suits and helmets, and various surface-supplied and self-contained breathing equipment. (There is an extensive section on a range off commercial face masks). Dive planning and technique is covered in some detail. The author is an ex North Sea diver. The book is accepted as the standard on the subject.
Softcover, 210 pages, many mono photographs and drawings.
This third edition greatly revised, nearly double pages, larger format.
