Dive Shop Music System

One of the features of The Scuba Doctor dive shop is its music system. You never know what might be playing when you enter the store in Rye, Victoria.

Lloyd has a collection of some 2,500 albums on CD which he has converted into high quality, lossless FLAC, ALAC and MP3 files. The lossless FLAC files have then been added to a Roon Labs music server setup. The audiophile quality Roon Labs music system then adds extensive metadata on songs, lyrics, artists, composers, musicians, artwork etc.

Playing of the music is controlled from an Apple iPad and Samsung smartphone using the Roon Labs app. The intention was to let dive shop customers access the system and select tracks to play, but unfortunately, Roon Labs still hasn't provided a guest mode where the collection can't be edited or deleted.
