The Peregrine makes the most of its 2.2-inch colour display with large characters that are easy to see at a glance. It scored very good for its display, and for ease of reading. "Nice design. Important stuff is obvious" and "Well-laid out, with important info front and centre" were typical comments. Alternate screens provide a suite of secondary data, which can be customised with user-selected data fields, but no compass. Logical and easy-to-grasp, the computer's two-button interface features handy on-screen prompts and tied the top score for intuitive operation. "Super simple operation," is how one tester described it. Divers also liked the computer's use of haptic feedback to call attention to alerts, which must be acknowledged before disappearing. Weighing about 6 ounces, the computer is heavy enough that it may bother smaller divers over a long dive, but its low profile helped it take a very good score for ergonomics. "A bit heavy, but not bad for the package and readability," one diver noted. With very good scores across the board, the Peregrine was a favourite among testers. It is our Best Buy.

Multi Diving Modes
There are 4 diving modes:
- Air (For recreational diving)

NDL Planner
The Peregrine has a quick NDL planner and intuitive DECO planner that divers can use to plan their dives. The decompression algorithm that Shearwater uses is the Bühlmann GF algorithm.
Cloud Control
Divers can easily link their Peregrine dive computer via a Bluetooth connection, allowing them to share information on multiple devices such as a smartphone, tablet and desktop. Using the free Shearwater Cloud app, the diver can review, edit and synchronise dive logs. Divers can also update the firmware or change the language on the go.
Dive Log In the Dive Log menu, a diver can quickly view detailed graphs and dive information such as a dive log list, water temperature changes, depth, start and end time, surface interval time and more, all easily available at the diver's fingertips.
