The Cressi Commander Evolution BCD offers interesting new features compared to its predecessor the Cressi Back Jac BCD. It combines the advantages of a rear inflation, dorsal air chamber, with the versatility of a traditional vest and provides two spacious zipper pockets in addition to an incorporated weight system.

It is an interesting 100% rear / back inflation product, light yet durable, very compact and easy to transport.
With the Cressi Commander Evolution, the harness system is completely independent from the air bladder in the shoulder pad area too, giving the vest absolute stability on the diver's body, completely freeing the chest, armpit and abdominal areas from pressure due to the expansion of the bladder against the back and around the tank.

The rear / dorsal air chamber has the best buoyancy of the entire Cressi range, while remaining compact, thanks to the elastic containment straps that also help with drainage.
The new weight system LAS (Lock Aid System) 2.0 is now better integrated into the vest, making it much thinner. In the Cressi tradition, this system guarantees maximum ease of weight insertion and extraction with no risk of accidental loss. The anchors have a patented spring closure in case of accidental snagging. It is fully ergonomic and intuitive, even without looking.
Two weight compartments anchored in the tank band, are very useful to determine the diver's tilt.
The vest combines five different fabrics to ensure maximum suitability based on the requirements of each area of the vest. The Cressi Commander Evolution BCD is extremely light and semi-flexible, fulfilling its purpose without adding weight or volume.
Completely covered in comfortable neutral buoyancy padding made of a closed cell material, it prevents the accumulation of water or air, thereby reducing the inherent buoyancy of the vest and promoting quick drying. Its pattern and form make it 100% unisex.

What We Think
The Cressi Back Jac Elite BCD was our favourite BC for recreational diving until Cressi discontinued it. It has been replaced in upgraded form by the Cressi Commander Evolution BCD which combines the features of a jacket BCD with pockets and integrated weights, but is enhanced by having a rear inflation wing. Thus you get much better trim and stability in the water.
