Impressively lightweight, this rear inflation BC that is anatomically designed for maximum comfort and durability, both at the surface and while you're exploring a reef, wreck or deep wall.

The Cressi Patrol BCD special air cell compression strap guarantees extra quick deflation and volume control. The ultralight rigid back plate with its integrated carrying handle ensures optimal stability.

The Cressi Patrol BCD also features Cressi's Flat-Lock-Aid integrated weight system that makes it easy to release the pockets. There are 3 overpressure relief valves/dump valves: one on the upper part of the inflator hose; one valve on the right-hand side of the shoulder; and a third on the lower right-hand side of the air cell. The inflator dump/valve is cable activated by pulling on the power inflator mechanism and the shoulder and lower valves have a pull cord.

Features include Flat-Lock-Aid Integrated Weight Pockets with 9 kg (20 lb) weight releasable capacity, a light ridged backplate with soft padded back, and 1-roll-up cargo pocket. The Patrol also features plastic D-rings to help reduce weight and the shoulder and waist harness are fully adjustable to one full size up or down from the stated size.

Rear inflation design with a durable 420-Denier nylon air cell with bungee cords to provide a low profile and rapid deflation of air cell. The BCD harness system uses traditional squeeze-style, side-release buckles and adjustable straps on the shoulders, chest and waist for precise adjustment and fit.

Compact and streamlined, the Patrol offers a travel-friendly solution that gives up little in terms of convenience or performance. Though the rear-inflation air cell provides an impressive 46 pounds of buoyant lift in size medium, an elastic bungee keeps the system stable and streamlined, with very little drag. Test divers scored it very good for attitude and stability. "Like being cradled in the hand of God," as one tester described it. Scoring very good for comfort, the harness features soft plushy padding throughout. Integrated weights scored very good for security and ease of ditching, but just good for loading, as the pockets can be a tight fit when filled with more than a few pounds. The power inflator was a little sluggish when exhausting, but three pull dumps are easy to reach and quick to vent excess air. Six D-rings and a spacious drop-down pocket provide room for all of the essentials. A favourite among test divers and modestly priced, the Patrol was our Best Buy for back-inflation BCs.

Available in five sizes from XS to XL, the shoulder and waist harnesses are fully adjustable to one complete size larger or smaller from the stated size so that you can dial in the optimal fit for you.

The Cressi Patrol BCD provides a lift capacity from 13.3 kg to 22.9 kg (29.2 lb to 50.6 lb), weighs from 3 kg to 3.4 kg (6.7 lb to 7.5 lb) depending on size, and comes with an owner's manual.
