These 80 cm (32 inch) long Miflex Carbon HD (Heavy Duty) High Pressure Gauge Hoses are finished in the popular Carbon Black coloured braiding are more flexible than traditional rubber hoses. The braiding helps protect the internal tube from abrasion, damage and UV attack that can quickly deteriorate a rubber hose.
All Miflex Carbon HD hoses come in a Miflex dry-bag as packaging — $8 value.
The Miflex Carbon HD high pressure hose has a 7/16-inch male at the end that screws into the first stage HP port and a 7/16-inch female at the end that screws on to the SPG.
The Miflex Carbon HD high pressure gauge hose range has increased burst pressure and features a larger outside diameter than the Miflex Xtreme-hi HP gauge hose range.
Introducing the Miflex Carbon HD range of high pressure gauge hoses.
Upon request from divers that prefer a stiffer and a more robust HP hoses than the Miflex Xtreme-hi range, but with more flexibility than the traditional rubber hoses, Miflex have developed a new high performance HP gauge hose.
Aimed for the dive centre, who use hoses every day with different divers and different configurations, and for divers who perform expeditions where contact with rocks and wrecks are more frequent, Miflex offers the new Carbon HD range of HP gauge hoses, have a larger outside diameter and electroless nickel plated fittings.
Miflex Hoses — Dedicated to Quality
Miflex are very proud of their Carbon HD range of high pressure hoses, which have been created and developed specifically for the diving market.
Miflex only manufacture their products from the highest quality materials and manufacture to the highest levels of quality available, in our Italian factory.
You can recognise a Miflex hose, as they are clearly marked with the Miflex name as all products should show you where they are made, as well as the suitable standards and pressure ratings, including the important EN250 marking.
Miflex offer a full warranty on their hoses and continually review our products to assess and improve any areas as required to suit today's changing diving market and it's requirements.
Miflex provide their hoses in Miflex branded dry-bags and each bag contains an insert with details of our quality and also information on installation and safety.
Miflex hoses are now used as standard on equipment by many leading diving brands of regulators and high pressure gauges.
If you want the best high pressure gauge hose, ensure you are diving with Miflex Carbon HD.
Miflex High Pressure Gauge Hose Fittings
Miflex high pressure hoses are supplied with standard fittings for use in the diving industry as follows:
Carbon HD High Pressure Gauge Hoses
These have 7/16" UNF male x 7/16" UNF female fittings as standard. The male fitting connects to the 1st sage, whilst the female fitting connects to the SPG or console.
At the female (SPG) end of the hose, the seal and swivel joint is made with the use of a standard swivel pin/air-spool that seals via O-rings that fit inside the hose fitting and SPG. This is not supplied with the hose as standard as they are usually provided with the SPG or console.
Installation
Please note that all high pressure hoses use an 'air-spool' or 'swivel-pin' with two tiny o-rings to mate the swivel connector on the hose to the fitting on the gauge. The air-spool is not included with the hose, but we recommend replacing the airspool when replacing the hose. The standard 'shoulder' air-spool has the flange in the centre. Some SPGs, typically the plastic body ones, may only accept a 'bullet' air-spool without a shoulder. We stock the standard 'long' bullet air-spool as well as the less commonly used 'short' bullet air-spool.
We recommend that the fitting and installation of all diving hoses should be made by a competent person and using the correct tools. As such we would suggest this is done by a recognised service centre like The Scuba Doctor.
All installation should be made in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and instruction.
If you are unsure in any way about the installation, please visit The Scuba Doctor for advice.

Miflex Carbon HD High Pressure Hose Adaptors and Accessories
Occasionally there is a requirement to connect your HP hose to equipment with differing connections. We offer a range of solutions via HP adaptors that may be able to assist you:
Fitting of a Suunto Transmitter to a hose
This can be achieved by utilising a swivel-pin shoulder air-spool (as with an SPG) into the transmitter and the hose to make a seal. Do not fit the transmitter directly to the hose without this as it will not seal.
HP Gauges Adaptors
We have two styles of gauge adaptors that are suitable for gauges or transmitters that do not accept a swivel-pin/air-spool:
HP Inline Gauge Adaptor
HP 90 degree Gauge Adaptor
