This is a 725 mm (28.5 inch) Long length Fibre-Optic Cable II from Sea & Sea for use in underwater photography. It has one 90 degree Sea & Sea fitting for use with all Sea & Sea strobes and one exposed end to give the user the ability to use the cable with other manufacturers' strobes or housings.
The cable is not "one-directional". It may be used in any direction, meaning either end may be applied to the housing or the strobe. The FOC II is designed for the use of the new Internal Optical YS-Converter.
The best quality Fiber-Optic Cable is composed of 613 fibres (cores). Even when the cable is bent, attenuation of light is minimal. Therefore, the light signal will be transmitted to a strobe without loss. Compared with single fibre cables , the Fiber-Optic Cable II is more resistant to distortion, bending and physical impact.
