This package combines an IST Proline Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) with a handy Storage Pouch.
All divers are supposed to carry a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) to comply with national dive safety standards. That's nice, but your safety is important with or without standards, so the smart diver always carries a surface marker buoy on every dive. The IST Proline Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) is highly visible with a 137 cm (54 inch) overall length.
The reusable Delayed SMB / safety sausage has a unique two-layer design: the outer layer is made of tough nylon with water-resistant PU coating, which protects the inner bladder. The taped edge prevents the outer layer from fraying.
To inflate underwater, simply use an octopus to release air into the SMB's bottom opening. The air cell's special enclosure will automatically trap all incoming gas. An automatic over-pressure relief valve releases excess pressure to prevent SMB from bursting as the air expands as it heads for the surface, or you can pull on the release cord for manual release of air.
The SMB features counter weights to help it stay upright when inflated on the surface.
The bright red/orange SMB is 137 cm (54 inch) long for maximum visibility.
The SMB folds up to a compact size for storage in its included storage pouch.
The sturdy Storage Pouch has a mesh bottom for quick drainage. It can be carried on any 51 mm (2 inch) webbing, or clipped onto a D-ring using the plastic snap. Pouch size: 19 cm high, 13.5 cm wide, 5.5 cm high.
The IST Proline Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) in Pouch is commonly used for all diving applications, cold water, professional, recreation, warm water and more. It's most used by customers who consider themselves to be an Advanced Diver, or Recreational Diver among others.
The IST Proline Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) in Pouch is popular because customers like that its Easy To Use, Functional, Improves Diving Experience, Solid Construction.
