Faber Cylinders
$525.00 Sale:$483.00

The Faber 232 bar, 3 litre (25 cubic foot), 100 mm (3.9 inch) diameter, Steel Cylinder with DIN/K valve is Nitrox ready.

This Faber 3 litre tank is probably the second most common steel cylinder used on a closed circuit rebreather (CCR). It is also known as the Faber FX23.

Among others, the Faber 3 litre is typically used on the Inspiration, rEvo, Megalodon, KISS, JJ-CCR, Hammerhead, Hollis Prism, and Titan rebreathers. This cylinder is too tall to fit inside the Evolution case, although if one were using a travel frame it could fit. It also will not fit on the Sentinel, due to the gas block on the side of the head. And it's too tall for a Poseidon MkVI rebreather.

These cylinders are made by Faber, the leading European manufacturer of scuba diving tanks, with extremely high quality steel made to international standards. Faber cylinders display a unique combination of size, weight and buoyancy.

Please Note: Oxygen Clean can only be completed on cylinders being picked-up in store.

We supply a DIN to Yoke convertible valve as standard. The valves are made by San-o-Sub, a leading Italian manufacturer of medical, industrial and scuba valves. They are strong and reliable and are made from really top quality materials. The inner air passages were carefully studied in the design so as to guarantee top performance even, and above all, with the top performance regulators. The valve design ensures an excellent grip, facilitating opening and closing of the tank. The valve regulator connection incorporates a threaded insert, which means it can equally be used for both INT bracket (Yoke) or DIN connection. Because the valves are modular you can easily change from a single connection valve to dual connection valve and vice versa.

Valve Options: If you require your cylinder with a different valve configuration, we offer the following additional valve choices:

Please specify the valve you desire when you order.

Valve Oxygen Cleaning:

The Faber steel cylinders are supplied Oxygen (O2) clean, suitable for use with up to 100% oxygen. However, if you are planning to use the cylinder with Enriched Air Nitrox (Nitrox) mixes up to 100% oxygen, it's essential for the safety of the cylinder user and the person filling the cylinder that the valve be oxygen cleaned and prepared with special o-rings, seats, and grease designed for exposure to pure oxygen. The cylinder should then be banded with the familiar yellow and green Nitrox band/wrap/sticker, and an Oxygen Clean 'In Test' inspection sticker applied. The Scuba Doctor can do all of this for you as an add-on service.
