PADI Refresher ReActivate Course - ONLINE LEARNING ONLY

PADI REACTIVATE eLEARNING 12/22
PADI
$104.00

Qty:

The PADI Refresher ReActivate Course is just the refresher you need if it has been a while since you've been scuba diving and you feel your scuba skills and knowledge are a bit rusty. The PADI Refresher ReActivate Course Course reacquaints you with diving so that you're back to feeling comfortable in the underwater world in less than a day.

PLEASE NOTE: This component is the online elearning only - it does not include the in-water component of the ReActivate required to be recertified as a diver.

The Refresher ReActivate Course helps you tune up and reactivate your diving skills without having to repeat an entire certification course. It's for divers of all levels, designed to review and enhance what you've already learnt in a fun, relaxed, self-paced format.

Perhaps you've only ever dived in warm water tropical locations and need to get used to what's required to adjust to diving in the colder temperate waters here in Melbourne, Victoria. This Scuba Review Course is just right for that.

The PADI Refresher ReActivate includes a supervised confined water area (normally a local pier) session.

After completing the Refresher ReActivate Course, you'll receive a recognition decal for your certification card to show dive centres, resorts and dive boats that you've updated your skills.

The Fun Part

Brush up on your scuba knowledge and skills. Improve your diving ability, and get your scuba gear ready for your next scuba vacation or diving holiday.

You'll be doing an open water dive in the pristine waters of Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula.

What You Learn

You go over scuba knowledge you learned during your initial training. Then, practice fundamental skills in a confined water area. You review:

  • Safe diving practices
  • Dive planning fundamentals
  • Problem management
  • Breathing air at depth
  • Recreational diving basic knowledge
  • Recreational diving dive planning

After you complete the knowledge assessment, you go through the Confined Water Skills Preview. You review information about each skill, why it's important, plus points to remember when performing the skill. Completing this section just before practising is a great way to refresh your knowledge of how each skill is performed.

The PADI Refresher ReActivate course is particularly beneficial if you:

  • Are an Open Water Diver course referral student who wants a refresher prior to making your open water training dives.
  • Are a Scuba Diver who wants to upgrade to Open Water Diver.
  • Just haven't scuba dived in a while and want to get acclimatised again.

The Scuba Gear You Use

You use all the basic scuba gear — BCD, Cylinder, Regulator, SPG, Dive Computer, Weight Belt and Wetsuit/Drysuit. You should bring your wetsuit, BCD, regs, weight belt and cylinder if you have them. If not, you can hire this dive gear from us.

Personal Dive Gear: You will need to bring your own Boots, Gloves and Hood if you need them. These are considered to be personal items and are not available for hire.

If you don't have the required gear, check with The Scuba Doctor dive shop about Scuba Equipment Rental and packages offered with this course.

The Learning Materials Used

You will quickly and effectively review scuba diving fundamentals with a Refresher ReActivate Manual via eLearning online. Begin by answering a few questions related to dive safety, problem management and dive planning. For example:

  • What are the five steps in a pre-dive safety check?
  • What is the maximum depth limit for all recreational diving?
  • What are the signs and symptoms of decompression sickness?
  • At 12 metres (40 feet) a diver runs out of air. Her buddy is more than 18 metres (60 feet) away. What should she do?
