These dive planning programs are specifically for decompression schedule planning, and work on the same algorithms that dive computers run on.
The one i use is DDPlan (http://www.ddplan.com/) and is freeware. There are other ones (Z Planner, V Planner etc etc) however these cost between $20 and $30USD for the user license.
