Postby Sabre » Thu, 19 Jul 2007 3:54 pm

UPDATED POSTING...

G'day,

Myself & a friend are booked on to do the dive at Castle Rock on Sunday 29th July with OzDive Charters.
It has just been confirmed by Ruben's that TOM will indeed be here this weekend. So dives are running Sat & Sun!

Need 4 divers minimum for the dive to go ahead.
So looking for other divers to join this dive.
Please join us at 11am on Sunday as I'm eager to dive this site! 8)

I've never dived here but have heard it can be a good dive :?:

So anyone that's interested please sign up and join us.

Thanks & Regards,
Simon

I can definitely recommend Castle Rock - it was my "dive-ephinany" when allot of my OW/AOW training came together and I was able enjoy every minute of the dive.

Sorry Simon I can't join you - crap cold/flu like symptoms...but hopefully 2 others will join you.

i second the recommend, it is a great bommie with a constant surge around it.
it has great swim throughs and there is one i swear is a deliberate 'diver with single tank on back' shaped hole!! place is shaped like a castle as name suggests, would say go down go around base and then work your way up in and around it, oyu should go from 18m base up to 12m when you get to the top of the rock.
i have seen crays under ledges out there and also a cpl of weedys!! good fish life and other awesome aquatic life, loads of colour and shape - you will love it.
like Chewy, i too am sorry i cant make it - im limited to shore dives for a bit due to financial considerations. But yes Castle Rock is well worth it, i hope you get to go and enjoy it.

i want to be under the sea, i breath my air by the tank !.
so far 80+ dives and trying to get more every week or two.
lets face it the bay is the best dive site until, now, brumby buggers it up! NO to dredging! no matter which person leads the State.

Thanks,
Simon

Excellent dive on Castle Rock on Sunday!
3 of us plus Rubens and his group of 3, so 7 divers in total.

10-15m viz, flat calm conditions, 13 deg C and ~50min total dive time.
Great dive with interesting marine life. 8)

Look forward to the next boat dive!

Regards,
Simon
