Until about ten years ago ( when divers became soft) it was custom that we wore short johns from cup day to easter saturday. These days it appears its custom to wear dry suits all year round. What has happened to the diver? Why are you all so soft?

yes you are right i DO wear a pair of speedos under a 7/5 semi-dry ALL year round and in the cooler water temps of 15-16 degs and lower i do wear a hood and gloves to keep a bit of warmth in for my generally about one hour long dives - how wussy could i get?? could i get any softer than that?
great intro post from you hope to hear some more of your deep insightful truths, maybe you can post a bit of info of who you are and how many of the antarctic dives you have done in just a rashie on a ccr for 3 hours or longer per dive you must have done them as you are so tuff!!

Yes you do sound a bit soft. I bet you also use a 120cf steel tank as well. On cupday why dont you try diving with a pair of wetsuit shorts, 5mm jacket ( you can wear a hood if you like) and a small tank. Lets revive the tradition.
