Hi all, just a quick note to let you all know about Fish fauna seminar at the Melbourne Aquarium. Reef Watch Marine Seminar Series 2006

Topic Details
By world standards, Australia has a remarkably large and diverse fish
fauna, with representatives from about 330 different fish families.
Almost a quarter of the total number are endemic to our waters and
roughly 50 new species are being discovered each year.
Dr Martin Gomon is Senior Curator of Ichthyology and Dianne Bray is
Senior Collections Manager, Ichthyology & Herpetology at Museum
Victoria. Both are authors and editors of the soon-to-be published
Fishes of Australia’s Southern Coast and Dianne is an author and
editor of the ABRS Catalogue of Australian Fishes which is currently
in press.
