Hello fellow Underwater Photographers - SWAMPies!!

Sunday, 1st April 2007, is nearly upon us and it looks like being the only half decent sunny day of the next 5 or 6 days so hopefully we will have some nice weather andlight winds to make the first SWAMP get together a very relaxing and social one!

Just to confirm, we will meet at The Scuba Doctor dive shop in Rye at midday, or a little before. The address is in Peninsula Avenue in Rye... you really can't miss it... if you need better directions, just email Dave Bryant and he'll forward you a map!

The dive shop is at Melways 186 C6, or you look it up online at

Itinerary for the afternoon will be:
  • Meet and greet.
  • Dive at around 1pm, probably Blairgowrie or Rye pier.
  • Meet back at The Scuba Doctor.
  • Fire up BBQ for a sort-of late lunch, early dinner.
  • David will supply some bikkies, chips and nibbles? He will also bring along some snags and bread, but by all means bring along your own steak, burgers, etc.
  • Bring your own drinks or The Scuba Doctor has beer, coke, water for sale.
  • Completion by 6pm, but The Scuba Doctor does stay open a little later than that!

It would be great just to have a social get together, and in time David would like to organise further days with a similar format but possibly incorporate a competition whereby we all have to shoot our best image of a given subject and then voted on by our peers... best of day would win a dive torch, magazine subscription or air fill card.

Just one idea David had going thru his head today. By all means, give David some ideas too... the more activities we have the better!!

All the best, see you at or before Midday at The Scuba Doctor or for people travelling further afar, also drop by David's house in Rosebud at 32 Besgrove Street. Melways 170 D4... if you want a stop off on your way thru.... David will leave home at 11am to give him time to set up at The Scuba Doctor.

If you need to get in touch with David Bryant in the meantime...
