Port Phillip Bay Channel Deepening

Postby lloyd_borrett » Fri, 13 Apr 2007 11:29 am

ACTION MEETING!
URGENT!

Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron at 7.30pm on Monday 16th April.

The Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC) has released its Supplementary Environment Effects Statement (SEES), and is committed to this project which could be disastrous for the people of Victoria!

We have considerable data which supports our view that this poorly justified project will destroy our precious Port Phillip Bay as we know it, and will furthermore impact on your business and recreation.

The Bracks government has only allowed 6 weeks for the community to respond to over 15,000 pages of documents and data.

FIND OUT HOW YOU CAN HELP!

Blue Wedges will supply you with all of the essentials for individual and group submissions to the Independent Panel, including relevant data not revealed in the SEES.

Come to our information and action meeting at Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron at 7.30pm on Monday 16th April.

This meeting is specifically directed to those who are concerned with our marine environment, and are willing to HELP!

IF YOU UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS, AND HEAR THE FACTS YOU WILL REALISE THAT IT IS NOT TOO LATE; HOWEVER YOU NEED TO ACT NOW OR KISS IT GOODBYE!

WE CAN WIN – TOGETHER!

For further information and bookings please contact John Willis 0407 0534 84 or return email to contact@bluewedges.org

G'day,

Alan Beckhurst has prepared an excellent submission in response to the Port of Melbourne Corporation's (PoMC) Supplementary Environment Effects Statement (SEES) for the Port Phillip Bay Channel Deepening Project.

Alan has kindly agreed to make it available for download from the VSAG web site http://www.vsag.org.au/Downloads/details/id=54.html.

If you're thinking of making your own submission, you should download and read Alan's submission.

Best Regards, Lloyd Borrett.

As you have stated an excellent submission. Well done to Alan.
I find it interesting that the media are not going crazy with this topic.
