Dive into the Peninsula’s pristine waters with a local expert on a single Guided Dive. Perfect for those who are unfamiliar with the area or want to see or photograph specific marine life, a guided dive is the best way to enjoy your dive and find those bucket list aquatic sensations Victoria is famous for. From Weedy Seadragon’s to Seahorse, Octopus to Nudibranchs our staff are well versed in finding these sensational creatures and will give you the best chance of seeing them.
The Fun Part
You'll be doing an open water dive in the pristine waters of one of the Mornington Peninsula’s incredible shore sites that we typically cater to your requests based on what marine life you want to see. Some of the wonderful aquatic animals we typically find for our guests are:
• Weedy Seadragons
• Seahorse
• Blue Ringed Octopus
• Pale Octopus
• Southern Keeled Octopus
• Nudibranchs
• Smooth Stingrays
• Ornate Cowfish
A guided dive is for divers of all levels, designed to assist you with applying what you know about Scuba Diving to the local environment via an exciting, relaxed and incredible dive. The Discover Local Diving guided dive is particularly beneficial if you:
• Are travelling to the Mornington Peninsula to see specific aquatic animals.
• Are an underwater photographer.
• Are a new diver to our area?
• Are a diver who knows the site, but just haven't dived it in a while and want to get familiar with it again.
What Separates Us
Our dive professionals have grown up diving the Mornington Peninsula’s dive sites for many years and are regular divers, both professionally and recreationally. They have a wealth of knowledge on the sites and know where to go to maximise chances of finding those animals you really want to see.
Our staff are all experienced underwater photographers, so know how to and are able to assist you set up for those incredible once in a lifetime shots. We are also always happy to help with camera and photography related questions to ensure that you are ready to fire off those shots underwater. We find that if you are wanting those incredible shots that a guided dive is the way to go.
On The Day
We try to cater as best as we can to suit your date requirements when booking your dive Once we have confirmed your booking date, we guarantee it will run (weather permitting) even if there is just one person (you). This means there are never any cancellations due to minimum numbers not being met.
Guided dives start with meeting your dive professional at our shop at a time arranged by you and your guide (usually a 9.30am start) and will run until approximately 12:00 p.m. for a single dive or 2.30 p.m. for a double dive. At the shop you will gear up (if hire gear is required) and conduct a dive briefing with your dive professional, including objectives, dive plan and site overview. From there you will head to the dive site and begin your incredible underwater adventure on your guided dive.
What If I Need Hire Gear
Everyone booking a guided dive has access to a discounted hire gear rate (hire gear can be selected through the Hire Gear Required dropdown box when booking) and includes our hire fleet of BCD, Cylinder, Regulator, SPG, Dive Computer, Weights and Wetsuit (5mm or 7mm available).

We can supply Mask, Snorkel, Boots, Dive Lights and Full Foot Fins, however having your own will make the experience more comfortable.
Personal Dive Gear: If you have your own dive gear we recommend bringing it with you! Diving in your own gear that you are familiar and comfortable with will always enhance the diving experience. Our staff are also happy to discuss any possible gear purchases that you are considering on the day of your guided dive if you wish.
Discover Local Diving Guide Prerequisites
To participate in the Discover Local Diving Dive you must:
• Hold and be able to show us your certification as a Scuba Diver via an accepted Scuba Diving Agency
• Be at least 12 years old.

Once booked, we will contact you to confirm your dates as well as your site request and try as best as we can to cater dives towards what it is you want to see and experience.
