For those wishing to see the rare, unique and beautiful Weedy Seadragons in their natural habitat, this Scuba Doctor Guided Dive is for you.
Learn all about and see up close the marine life of Flinders Pier in Western Port, Victoria, Australia in a relaxed coastal setting on the Mornington Peninsula with The Scuba Doctor dive shop. It's the Weedy Seadragon capital of the world.
Tours begin with your friendly and highly experienced guide preparing you for the guided dive with information on the marine life you can expect to encounter, plus getting you kitted up with any hire gear (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, cylinder and/or weight belt) you may need.
Then you'll travel to Flinders Pier which is the easiest place in the world to find these iconic marine creatures. There are dozens of them here and during the right season, you might see the males carrying eggs around.
The Scuba Doctor was host to the BBC Natural History Film Unit for three weeks in January 2016 while they shot footage of Weedy Sea Dragons for episode 5 'Green Seas' of the documentary Blue Planet II.
The Scuba Doctor offers morning 9 am, afternoon 1 pm and night 6 pm guided dives to see the Weedy Seadragons at Flinders Pier.
Book your PADI Discover Local Diving Experience now! It includes a PADI Professional supervised dive in an area (normally a local pier) on the Mornington Peninsula.
